Google to introduce new app that translates sign language

Google and students from Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm, Sweden are working together for a new app to make it possible to understand sign language. The app is called Google Gesture.

Google Gesture app analyses the muscle activity and position of the hand and forearm using electromyography and translates it in a smartphone application into speech – real time.
Google has been working hard for Accessibility Services for make life a bit easier for disabled people. Google’s other Accessibility Services are Google Talkback for vision-impaired users and Google Translate for those, who can’t speak foreign languages.
